The privacy and security of your personal information is important to Cove Central Communications (“Cove Central,” “we,” or “us”). We recognize the trust that you place in us when you provide your personal information to us.

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the personal information that we collect, how we collect it, and how we use, disclose, transfer and protect it.

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information that we collect through our websites, including, without limitation, www.CoveCentral.com and www.Verdigrid.com (each a “Cove Central Website” and collectively the “Verdigrid websites”).

This Privacy Policy also applies to the personal information that we collect through our Cove Central Communications internal platform (or any other “Electronic Tool” as defined in any applicable agreement between you and us) (the “Cove Central Platform”). We only use the personal information that we collect through the Cove Central Communications Platform (or any other “Electronic Tool”) to provide service(s) to you or to market additional service(s) to you among the categories of services that we already provide to you.

Separate agreement(s), including applicable Terms and Conditions, govern the service(s) that we provide to you (the “Cove Central Services”).

Cove Central will implement reasonable and appropriate measures designed to help you secure your content against accidental or unlawful loss, access or disclosure.

Customer Responsibilities:

Your Accounts. Customer is responsible for activities that occur under your account, regardless of whether the activities are authorized by you or undertaken by you, your employees or a third party (including your contractors, agents or End Users), and Cove Central is not responsible for unauthorized access to your account.

Log-In Credentials and Account Keys. Cove Central and its platform’s log-in credentials and private keys generated by the Services are for your internal use only and you are responsible in keeping track of your credentials that you may disclose to your agents and subcontractors performing work on your behalf.

We may suspend your account if your use of our services poses a security risk to us that could adversely impact our systems, our Service Offerings or any of our customers, in relation to fraud or third-party liability. In this circumstance, you will not be entitled to any service credits under the Service Level Agreements for any period of suspension. 

What information does Cove Central collect from you?

Information You Submit. We collect information that you submit when you visit a Cove Central Website or our internal platforms, including:

  • Your contact information and other identifying information, including your name, your email or mailing address, your phone number, identifying information about your business, or other similar information;

  • Your personal identification information, including information such as your account number, password, or username; and

  • Information that you submit as an applicant to join our team, including your resume and other information commonly included in your resume.

Information Collected Automatically. We collect some information about you automatically. For example, we may collect your IP address, the browser you use, the pages that you visited to refer you to a Cove Central Website or the Cove Central Platform, the pages that you visited on the Cove Central Website or the Cove Central Platform, and other data that we may use to analyze and administer the Cove Central Websites or our internal platforms.

Information Collected with Cookies and Analytics Software. We use cookies and other analytics software, such as Google Analytics. These tools help us understand and improve the performance of the Cove Central Websites. We also may use cookies to help customize the content that you see when you visit Cove Central Website or receive through marketing campaigns. They help us measure the effectiveness of our features, offerings, and advertisements. Cookies often improve your use of the Cove Central website and our internal platforms by saving your preferences and making forms easier to fill out. Information We Collect When You Attend a Cove Central event or a future webinar, visit us at a Trade Show, or communicate with our sales team. This includes your name, your company’s name, your contact information, what Cove Central Services may interest you, your possible use case, and other information pertinent to the sales process. This helps us respond more effectively to your interest in Cove Central Services and allows us to tailor our marketing approach to your specific needs and interests.

Information We Collect from You or Your End Users to provide Cove Central Services. We may collect information from you through the Cove Central Website or our internal platforms in connection with the provision of Cove Central Services to you for a variety of purposes, including the registration and management of your account, the facilitation of your access to and use of our platform, communication with you, responses to your questions and comments, the measurement of your interest in Cove Central Services, the improvement of Cove Central Services, notifications about special offers, the customization of your experience with us, the solicitation of information from you, including through surveys, the resolution of disputes and troubleshooting, the prevention of potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and the enforcement of our Acceptable Use Policy.

We keep records of our customer support interactions, including your name, contact information, and any additional information that you choose to share with our customer support team. We do this to better manage our relationship with you, track problems over time, and confirm that we resolve your concerns effectively and efficiently. As a communications provider, we necessarily have access to certain information required for the transmission of voice and/or messaging traffic, including to other communications providers. This includes call and message metadata and the content of both voice and messaging traffic. We store and maintain such information only as necessary to deliver messaging and voice traffic in accordance with our agreements with you, to comply with applicable laws and law enforcement requests, and to achieve our legitimate business purposes (including taxing, billing, and collection of payment for the Cove Central Services). How does Cove Central use the information Cove Central collects?

In addition to the uses described above, we may use the information that we collect from you to:

  • Send you marketing materials or other similar communications;

  • Determine whether you may want Cove Central Services;

  • Manage the Cove Central Website and our internal platforms;

  • Deliver the Cove Central Services that we provide to you

How does Cove Central share your information or your end users’ information?

We do not sell your information to any third parties. Period.

As noted above, as a communications provider, we necessarily have access to certain information required to transmit your voice and/or messaging traffic, including to other communications providers. This includes call and message metadata and the content of both voice and messaging traffic. We necessarily share some information to transmit your voice or messaging traffic.

We may share your information with service providers we engage to perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, order fulfillment, customer relations management, and data analytics. We contractually require these service providers to safeguard the information we provide to them. We also restrict these service providers from using or disclosing information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements.

We may share your information with our joint marketing and sales partners, as well as other other aspects of our business, and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

We may share your information in accordance with applicable law. This may include disclosure to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process when we believe in good faith that disclosure enforces or protects our rights, protects your safety or the safety of others, or responds to other government requests.

We may share your information with other communications providers to prevent fraud or to investigate and resolve suspected fraud, harassment, security issues, threats to networks, or other unlawful activity.

We also may share information with directory publishers (who publish white pages, yellow pages and other similar directories) and directory assistance providers (who provide telephone numbers or addresses to those asking for that information). We may limit how this information is used. These companies must honor restrictions you have asked for, such as that your information not be published or used for marketing.

If you have elected to have your name, address and telephone number published in white pages directories, it will be public information. Once public, that information may be used by others for their own marketing or to create marketing lists.

If we engage in a merger, acquisition, divestiture, consolidation, asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy, we may share or transfer certain information, subject to standard confidentiality agreements.

We may share aggregated or anonymous information with third parties, including investors. For example, we may disclose the number of visitors to Cove Central Website or the number of our customers.

We may share information, including your name, when we have your consent to do so.

How does this Privacy Policy relate to Customer Proprietary Network Information?

Some information related to your use of Cove Central Services constitutes customer proprietary network information (“CPNI”). CPNI includes what number you call, when you call, and how long the call continues, among other information. Specific federal laws and regulations protect your CPNI. We protect your CPNI as required by federal law. We only share or disclose your CPNI without your consent: (1) to bill and collect for Cove Central Services provided to you; (2) to protect you, us, or other communication providers from the fraudulent or illegal use of Cove Central Services; (3) to protect our rights or property; (4) to provide your (or your end users’) call location information in certain specified emergency situations; (5) to market to you Cove Central Services among the categories of services or products we already provide to you; and (6) for other purposes permitted by applicable law.

What security practices does Cove Central use to protect your information?

We work hard to keep your information secure and to prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of information you have entrusted to us. Our security efforts grow and adapt to meet the ever-changing threat landscape. Nonetheless, given the nature of the services we provide, we cannot guarantee that information provided to us will be secure during transmission through public networks, while conveyed to other entities while providing communications in an interconnected landscape, or within our own network and systems or when that information may be conveyed to other entities while providing communications in an interconnected landscape.

How will you know of any changes to this Privacy Policy and other Policies?

We may update all our policies from time to time. We will notify our customers of material changes to all our policies, either by sending a notice to the email you provide to us or by placing a prominent notice on our website.

How do you opt-out of receiving marketing materials or other information from Cove Central?

If you receive marketing materials or other information from us that you no longer wish to receive, you can opt-out at any time by emailing us at:  info@covecentral.com and in the Subject Line, enter “Unsubscribe” to request that we remove your name and contact information from our distribution lists.
